Spey Casting Courses 2004 : :

to be announced

For those of you who are interested in the art of Spey Casting, this course will cover the skills and techniques to perform two handed casting to a degree with which you will be comfortable enough to head out to a river and utilize your new found knowledge to have a great day of fishing.

Dana Sturn, a resident and professional instructor from British Columbia, will take you from beginner to advanced levels of two-handed casting. Dana will expand on your knowledge of the different types of casts including the single spey, double spey, snake roll, and snap T with some demonstrations of these useful casts and methods to achieve distance.

During the two day program you will cover topics that include types of rods, reels, line weights, shooting tips, leaders and, of course, the art of casting. The course will begin at the shop on Saturday morning with a brief introduction. Once all participants are in attendance, we will be off to the river.

The course is for beginners to intermediate and advanced levels of Spey Casting. For those who are going to attend, if you have your own equipment, please bring it with you. For those who have not yet purchased their Spey Casting Equipment, Grindstone will provide it for you.

Grindstone will provide food and beverages for this 2 day outing.
Pre-registration is required for this course.
